Ashford University Christmas Party

Monday, December 22nd, 2008 | General | No Comments

Jaime was nice enough to take me as her date to the Ashford University’s Christmas Party.  Other then weddings and prom this was the first formal party I’d ever been to.  I got all dressed up in a nice suit and Jaime wore a beautiful dress she kept for special occasions.  It was really cool to see all her coworkers (all 2,000 of them) dressed formally in suits and tuxedos.

The event was held at the Marriott in downtown San Diego in the largest banquet room they had. They offered free beverages via drink ticket and had roughly 15 two man bars. There was about an hour of mingling before the main attraction. They served a two course meal starting with a fancy salad and nice bread. The servers walked around and refilled the tables wine with red or white wine. For the main course they served fillet minion and grilled sea bass.

They had the CEO give a little speech which was pretty good. Then as a “surprise” he rented out another banquet hall that they had converted into a club for everyone to continue partying.

Overall we had a great time and I’m excited to go back next year
